Panthers Win Tourney
Tournament MVP Nicole Gagliardi struck out three in the win and went 2 for 3 with three runs and an RBI for Pleasantville in its 11-4 triumph against Rye in the championship game of the Westlake Tournament at Volunteer Field in Hawthorne on May 4 as per Rob Cristino's post on the LoHud Softball Blog.

Teammate Courtney Sheehy scored two runs and had two RBI. Pleasantville's Stephanie Rogers and Alicia Marino were named to the All-Tournament team.

Briarcliff lost to visiting Port Chester 15-7, also according to Cristino, on May 7.
Summer Horowitz went 3 for 4 with a solo homer for the Bears.
PHS Girls Lax
Pleasantville's Bridget Gilfeather scored five goals for the Panthers in their 16-6 triumph against visiting Nanuet on May 7.
Teammates Maria Howe added a hat trick and two assists and Caroline Fraylick had two goals and five assists according to Gina Pernicano's post on the LoHud Girls Lacrosse Blog.

Pernicano also reported that on the same day Briarcliff lost to visiting Eastchester 13-10. The Bears were led by Kristiana Roth, who tallied four goals and one assist.
