Pleasantville youth organizes race to benefit memorial scholarship fund.
Saturday morning, in the calm before , Pleasantville got in one outdoor event, a 5K race at .
The race, organized by Michael Bloom for his bar mitzvah project, was held in memory of his babysitter Tina Shaina Gambino.
The proceeds from the 5K run and 2K walk will benefit the R.E.F.L.E.C.T.I.O.N.S. Tina Gambino Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating PHS senior every year.

In total, 161 runners completed Saturday's 5K, with the large majority hailing from Pleasantville.
