Predictions from Pleasantville's Psychic Traveler

"I don't believe that there are magic spells or curses. If there were, practitioners like me would be millionaires." -Tesler

If you visit Lucy’s Lounge in Pleasantville on Fridays between 3 and 9 p.m, you can take a journey into your future with local resident Francine Tesler, a medium and spirit channeler.

“Everyone has psychic ability," said Tesler. “It is a physical response that stimulates a thought process. Dreams, Déjà vu, flashes in your head appear as a slide show. For me, it is a dream within a daydream within a virtual reality. You just need to have the tools to put the images together.”

Tesler characterizes herself as a very old soul who has been accurately predicting future events since childhood. She began to give readings in 1983, and has been a full-time psychic since 1994.

“I am a tool," she explained. "I see all these different scenarios within a person’s life, but ultimately you have free choice.

Added Tesler, "Dead people talk to me, but I don’t have control over that. I can’t dial-up someone’s grandma.”

Tesler became familiar with Pleasantville when she was performing readings at the now defunct Jackson & Wheeler Restaurant. She developed some very strong friendships and positive feelings about Pleasantville. She moved here 15 months ago.

“I am happier than I have ever been in my life,” beamed Tesler.

She has had numerous corporate clients including American Express, Citigroup, IBM, PepsiCo and Westchester Magazine. Her private clients are all over the U.S. and in Europe. Many of her readings are performed over the phone and then she mails a tape of the session to the subject.

However, Tesler said she has a special affinity for giving readings at restaurants and other local gathering places. At these venues, she offers a lower price than for her private work because she believes that accessibility to psychic information strengthens a community.

With 2011 just beginning, Tesler offered the following predictions for the new year and beyond:

  • It’s almost as if the stories of Sodom and Gomorrah and Noah’s Ark are coming true. The universal god is cleansing the people that don’t belong here anymore. The tsunami and the eruptions of volcanoes, the earthquake in Haiti, the recent flooding and weeks of rain in California, are all examples of this.
  • I don’t think Obama will be re-elected if in fact he even remains in office for his entire first term.
  • I think there may be the discovery of a new planet
  • One of the elected officials in Massachusetts, perhaps a Senator, will change his residence and run in New York
  • One of the churches in Pleasantville will be converted into either a green patch, a holistic center, or housing.
  • Mayor Peter Scherer will be elected for a second term, but two of the current Trustees are going away.
  • Looking at a group of buildings at the top of Wheeler Avenue, she pointed to one and said, “I believe it has a weak ceiling or roof.”

Tesler does readings virtually every night of the week. Her current scheduled circuit, in addition to Lucy’s, includes venues in Elmsford, Croton-on-Hudson, Mahopac, Pawling, Peekskill, Somers and Greenwich, CT. Visit here for more information.
