Scarborough Woman Charged with Tarrytown DWI

The following is from Tarrytown Police and does not indicate a conviction.

On January 7 at 1:23 p.m, a 911 caller reported seeing an erratic driver about to enter Tarrytown southbound from Sleepy Hollow on Route 9. She described a yellow Jeep Wrangler with a female driver.

Tarrytown Police officers stopped the car in question, with Rhode Island plates, at Central Avenue and North Broadway.

Police placed the driver, Sharon Pickett, under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The 55-year-old Scarborough resident consented to a breathalyzer test which police reported resulted in a positive reading. She was charged with:

  • aggravated driving while intoxicated,
  • driving while intoxicated,
  • and operating an unregistered motor vehicle on the highway.

At 5:08 p.m., Pickett was a released to a responsible person with a return court date.
