VIDEO: Arbor Day Saplings for Second Graders

Pleasantville volunteers delivered two types of saplings to students.

Thanks to an annual initiative spearheaded by the Pleasantville Rotary Club and donations from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, each second grader at l went home with a sapling on Thursday.

Rotary International is established "in almost every country in the world," according to Susan Fasnacht, the club's president.

The Pleasantville Rotary Club has approximately 33 members and meets weekly at . Fasnacht said she enjoys the camaraderie among the group and the opportunities to volunteer.
