Oscar Wilde Reading at Mount Pleasant Library; Briarcliff Board Meeting

1. Get Wilde: The Mount Pleasant Public Library in Pleasantville is inviting participants to take turns reading Oscar Wilde’s “An Ideal Husband” on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. New members are always welcomed.

2. Briarcliff Board Meeting: The Briarcliff Manor Village Board of Trustees will hold its regularly scheduled public meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in village hall. For the full agenda, click here. 

3. You don’t need those shovels just yet: The National Weather Service says snow accumulation is likely in Irvington, Dobbs Ferry and Hastings-on-Hudson on Tuesday. While conditions won’t be as bad as Sunday’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles, 1 to 3 inches of snowfall is expected. 

4. I’ll have the Venti Obama, please: The more Starbucks cafes there are in town, the more likely that county voted Democratic last election.
