BRIARCLIFF MANOR –More than 70 Briarcliff High School athletes, coaches and teachers joined forces for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at Manhattanville College in Purchase on October 21.
“We raised more than $2,000,” said Briarcliff High School physical education teacher A.J. Thau. In addition to the walk, JV and Varsity volleyball athletes from BHS hosted a “pink” game at the end of the month, where both teams wore pink and donations for breast cancer were collected.
In all, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Westchester event attracted 16,000 walkers and raised $1,350,000 for the cause.
