is celebrating their 10th anniversary of providing cultural films and education with a series of special events for patrons. These exciting events include:
- 10th Anniversary JBFC Timeline. This will feature text, video, and photos highlighting JBFC milestones from the first decade. "It's a wild look back at where it all began - ten years of movie magic, very special guests, landmarks in education, and much more."
- JBFC at Ten. This series runs from May 13 through May 31 and will feature films from the recurring series. "Films from our wildly popular Classic Italian Cinema series, the family-friendly Movies for Kids series, and the groundbreaking Global Watch series, all will be included. Some film that will be shown are: The Leopard, The Wizard of Oz, Audtion, Queen of the Sun, and The Runner."
- 24 Hour Movie Marathon. "Hardcore film fans rejoice! From June 18 at 11 p.m. until June 19 at 11 p.m., the JBFC will host a 24 Hour Movie Marathon. This marathon, which will take place on two screens at the JBFC Theater, will include previews of four new films, great foreign cinema, fantastic screwball comedies, mind-bending music videos, eye-opening documentaries, classic animation, rarities unavailable on DVD or VHS, and more. There will be a prize for everyone who stays for all 24 hours, in addition to free coffee throughout the night.
- $1 Movies for Kids Tickets. JBFC is offering all children’s tickets to weekend films at noon in the “Movies for Kids (And Their Families)” series for $1 all year long, thanks to series sponsor Club Fit. In addition, all JBFC members who purchase a ticket for a screening on the first Wednesday of every month in 2011 will receive one free small popcorn at the concession stand.
