John L. Glascott passed away April 12, 2012, at his home in Yonkers, NY. He was 26.
Raised in Briarcliff Manor, John graduated from Ossining High School in 2004 and went on to attend Iona College in New Rochelle, where he studied business and was an active member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.
Deeply passionate about making a difference in his community and helping others, John became a volunteer firefighter at the age of 18, and later worked professionally as an EMT in southern Westchester County.
He is survived by his parents, John and Sue Glascott of Briarcliff Manor, NY; two sisters, Laura Glascott Faustman (husband Dean) of San Francisco, CA, and Margaret Glascott, studying in Charleston, SC; maternal grandparents Lawrence and Elizabeth Flynn of Saratoga Springs, NY; paternal grandmother Joan H. Glascott of Briarcliff Manor, NY; as well as ten aunts and uncles, 14 cousins, and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at in Briarcliff. Funeral Mass at 10 am on Wednesday, April 18, at in Briarcliff, followed by internment at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
