Briarcliff Rotary's "Preventative Health and Awareness": "Hypnosis 101"

    The Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor is delighted to sponsor a presentation on "Hypnosis 101" on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Briarcliff Library at 6:30 p.m.  The presentation will be made by Dr. Bob Pargament, of the Westchester Hypnosos Center, Harrison.  Admission is free and open to the public.
     "Hypnosis 101" will explain in lay terms how and why hypnosis works along with its many applications for basic issues such as smoking cessation, weight loss, anxiety reduction, test taking, memory improvement, and also its interesting medical applications.
    Dr. Pargament, who trained with the world’s best hypnosis teachers, has lectured and hypnotized groups of psychiatrists at New York University’s Pediatric Psychiatry Department, the American Dental Association 9th District, The Westchester Group Psychotherapy Society, The Scarsdale Medical Group, Long Island University and Westchester Community College, and The Business Council of Westchester to name a few.   He has also conducted corporate seminars, lectures, and programs at Pepsi’s World Headquarters, Morgan Stanley and various Chambers of Commerce and numerous other business and civic groups.  An accomplished hypnotist, he has been interviewed on National Public Radio, "Eyewitness News," "Best of Westchester" Magazine, and has written articles for the "Huffington Post," "Westchester Parent," and other publications. 
    Certified in General Hypnosis and Pediatric Hypnosis, he is a practitioner of Neuro- Linguistic Programming.  He has also been trained in Advanced Hypnosis and Hypnosis Weight Loss Techniques.
