Briarcliff Rotary's "Preventative Health and Awareness" Series: Sleep Disorders

The Rotary Club of Briarcliff Manor continues its series on "Preventative Health and Awareness" Program to help people understand common health issues and adopt habits and lifestyle changes for healthy living. The next in this series will feature Dr. Bergstein on "Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea- Contemporary Diagnosis and Treatments," and will be held in the Briarcliff Library at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013. Admission is free, and open to the community.

Snoring and sleep apnea effects over 50 million people in our country. It is responsible for increasing by 30 percent. the risk of heart attack stroke and sudden death.  Dr. Bergstein, M.D., F.A.C.S., has been in practice in Westchester for 20 years.  He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.  In addition to being Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center,  he is the Surgical Director of the Sleep Center and laboratory at Phelps.
He has been named "Best Doctors" in multiple publications in his practice throughout his years in practice.

This monthly program, a community service sponsored by the Briarcliff Rotary, will feature knowledgeable speakers on various aspects of health, such as nutrition, exercise, disease-prevention, and healthy life-styles.  The Rotary Club is pleased to present this opportunity in the interest of enhancing the health of community members.  For further information, or for participating as a speaker in this Program, contact Rotarian President Krishnan Chittur at kchittur@post.harvard.edu.
