Pleasantville Residents Complete Grand Prix New York Junior Racing Camp

Aydin Mayers & Robert Marco of Pleasantville, NY, recently completed the Junior Racing Summer Camp at Grand Prix New York/Spins Bowl in Mount Kisco, NY.

The Novice and Advanced Junior Racing Summer Camp programs teach junior drivers the basics of driving and racing.  During the week long racing program, campers work their way through a course curriculum which includes learning how to identify and follow racing lines, kart control, passing, and defending.  Campers enjoy five days of high speed wheel-to-wheel instruction and racing, along with other recreational activities including the iRacing Sim Room, bowling and the arcade.

Grand Prix New York’s 5 day Advanced Camp is specifically designed for drivers ranging from the ages of 7 to16 with experience in kart racing or other types of driving. Under the guidance and supervision of qualified instructors, participants develop advanced, competitive driving skills like maintaining racing lines, passing exercises and defending their position; techniques geared toward reducing lap times.  Participants actually drive and race against each other, acquiring driving techniques and skills and learning practical lessons that will be valuable later in life.  More information about the Junior Racing Camp can be found at www.gpny.com/Junior_Racing_School.
