It is time to create a true, American, democratic election process for the Mayor and Village Trustee positions.  It is time to create a true, multi-party election process, complete with opposing viewpoints , discussion and debate and ideas being brought to the community for discussion and candidates who actually listen, and then represent, constituents.

Note that The Peoples Caucus is conveniently lining up their nominees over the Holidays while absolutely no one in the Village is paying attention.

Update: Bit of a shell game now on tomorrow's Peoples Carcus meeting. Note that tomorrow's forecast is for partly sunny in the afternoon and partly cloudy in the evening with 0% chance of precipitation. This just in from the Peoples Carcus - ************************************************* Due to the possibility of inclement weather tomorrow night and the somewhat short advance notice, this year's information session for anyone contemplating running for local elected office or the Executive Committee has been changed by one week to Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 8 PM at the Briarcliff Teen Center located behind the Village Municipal Building. If you are interested in running for Village trustee next term, please advise us via return email no later than Monday, December 16th. ************************************************

A few questions for the residents and tax-payers of Briarcliff: * Do YOU feel connected or involved in this process in any way? * Are YOU aware of this process and how it works? * Have YOU EVER voted in a Village election (for Mayor and Village Trustees, not School Board or School Budget)?
