'Fun' Raiser to Benefit Theater Company, Acting School

Axial Theatre and HMActing will celebrate the theater company/acting school’s 15th anniversary with a "Fun Raiser," a night of improv, sketch comedy, music, wine, food and a live auction.

Tickets for the March 29 benefit start at $35. It begins at 7 p.m. at the theatre company’s space at 8 Sunnyside Ave., St. John’s Episcopal Church in Pleasantville.

The annual benefit will showcase the acting and musical talents of company members in a variety of ensemble pieces. A signature highlight of the event will include a live auction—hosted by noted TV journalist and actor Roz Abrams.

A few of the items to be auctioned will be: A stay at Cinque Terre on the coast of the Italian Riviera; a package at 54 Below, Broadway’s premiere supper club, a top entertainment and culinary venue; four tickets to Broadway’s Raisin in the Sun starring Denzel Washington and Diahann Carroll; a kayak trip; a headshot package – and many more.  

A special tribute will be made to long-time Axial supporter and friend, the William T. Morris Foundation.  

Performing artists will be Axial company members: Francesco Campari, Aisling Mulhern, Ann Gulian, Adam Glatzl, Rachel Jones, Mike Fox, Lori Franzese, Mark Gorham, Gail Greenstein, Anne Hammond, Nancy Intrator, Ward James Riley, Ryan Mallon, LLoyd Pace plus pianist Dan Forman and Axial Managing Director Jaki Silver.
