Get Out: Easter Goodness, Poetry and Beatles Tribute

Spring is underway and there's lots to do this weekend.

With the end of the spring break vacation and Passover and Easter this week, it's a quiet weekend in our area. But if you're here and looking for some things to do with the family, we've found some outings within a short driving distance that we're sure you'll enjoy.

Where/When: The Academic Arts Theatre at Westchester Community College (75 Grasslands Rd. in Valhalla) on Saturday, April 23 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Organizers say this is an "interactive" concert, where the audience is responsible for choosing the playlist for the night.

Pricing: $20 general admission; $18 students/seniors/fac-staff; $13 children under 13

Why Go: The market offers plenty of fresh food options to cook up a delectable Easter meal. And this week, from 10 a.m. to noon, Community Markets' Chef Karen will be hosting a cooking demo and tasting for market patrons.

Where/When: of Pleasantville on Sunday, April 24 at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Celebrate Easter with your neighbors and music for the holiday. After the worship, there will be Easter crafts for younger kids and an outdoor Egg Hunt for all.
