Grab & Go Kids Planner: Animal Adventures, Wizard of Oz and More

They say that everyone has a bit ‘o the Irish in them on St. Patty’s Day, so dig out the green this weekend. Although a scent of spring will be in the air, mud galore is guaranteed—so plan accordingly! Here’s a hodgepodge of things the kids might enjoy this weekend:

Why Go:  Bagpipes, Irish Dancers, and a balmy afternoon-need I say more?

Why Go: Pleasantville first and second Graders can harness their inner Frank Lloyd Wright (or their inner Elmo) as their buildings take form. Because you can't do your best work on an empty stomach, pizza will be served. Legos must stay at the center, so bring a camera to capture their creation!

Why Go: Middle Schoolers can hang out and socialize in a safe and fun environment, buy snacks and shoot some hoops.
Pricing: $5.

Why Go:  Nelson’s “high octane” Jewish rock will thrill and inspire your teens, and you’ll own the title of “coolest mom.” Listen here.

• Animal Adventures:  Raptors
Where/When: Sunday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at Teatown Lake Reservation.
Why Go: It’s going to be a beautiful day to get outside and meet Teatown’s ambassador raptors. And, if you haven’t caught a Sugaring demonstration, now’s your chance.
Pricing: $5, free for members.
