In Briarcliff Manor, families had an array of choices in the community for a gathering in celebration of Memorial Day.

Some were running, walking or cheering on each other in the annual Briarcliff Has Heart 5K race organized by the Friends of the .

Then at noon, locals stood and watched as a parade of police officers, firefighters and scouts marched down Pleasantville Road.
