Pace SAAC's Bingo Night a Success

Pace's Student Athletic Advisory Committee raised $1,600 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.- The seventh annual Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) Bingo Night was a huge success on Tuesday night in the Goldstein Health and Fitness Center. In total, $1,600 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the chosen philanthropy of all NCAA Division II Institutions. More than 150 students and staff participated in the event, which featured free food from Lucio’s Pizza and Frank & Joe’s Deli.

SAAC is coming off a year in which they finished first in total money raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation among Northeast-10 Conference schools.

In the upcoming weeks, SAAC will be busy with a few community service events to complete the school year including volunteering at a golf outing to raise funds for Hawthorne Country Day School, supporting the annual Relay For Life event on campus and participating in the Walk for World Water on April 20th with the Pace Academy for the Applied Environmental Studies. In addition SAAC will be partnering with Colleges Against Cancer for the final three “Pace Goes Pink” events of the spring to raise money for the Northern Westchester Hospital Breast Institute.
