Patch Picks: Great Ways to Share Love for Valentine’s Day

Saturday, Feb. 12: celebrates the with its annual chocolate and wine pairing party. This delightfully delicious affair features locally produced sweets and the fruit of the vine. Tasting flights include 4 wines for free, 5-8 wines for $5 and full-flight (including a wine glass) for $10. The party begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

Sunday, Feb. 13: Pets Alive Westchester, formerly The Elmsford Animal Shelter, invites you to share your love with a four-legged friend in honor of Valentine's Day. This no-kill shelter at 100 Warehouse Lane South, Elmsford is offering reduced adoption fees and prizes from noon until 3:30 p.m. to celebrate the holiday of romance. Refreshments will be served.

Monday, Feb. 14: , Westchester’s first and only cupcake bakery, will be open between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday in honor of St. Valentine. On Feb. 14 only (not to be combined with any other promotion), you may order five cupcakes and get the sixth free, or buy 10 cupcakes and get two for free. The special selection includes Carrot Cake, Chocoholic Lovers, Chocolate Raspberry Dream, Pink Lady, Red Velvet and Tiramisu. Orders must be placed no later than noon Saturday, Feb. 12.
