Photos: Atria Hosts USO Dance

Fundraising event brings patriotism to senior living center.

The Atria Briarcliff Manor hosted a USO dance Wednesday evening to help raise funds for the Veteran's Bedside Network, a group dedicated to lifting the spirits of veterans using therapeutic recreation.

The event began with cadets from the Fordham University Army ROTC program presenting the colors followed by a talk with Vietnam veteran Michael O'Connor representing the Ossining American Legion Post.

Engage Life Director Ryan Linehan then read the names of 20 residents at the facility who served in the military. After a few minutes to collect donations, residents listened to live music, clapped and danced together and enjoyed the evening.
