Pleasantville Crossword Competition Raises Funds for Local Schools

New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz hosted the 17th annual competition at his village Table Tennis Center.

Dozens of puzzlers came out to Pleasantville September 27 to take part in the 17th annual Westchester Crossword Puzzle Tournament.

Hosted by village resident and New York Times Crossword Puzzle Editor Will Shortz at his Westchester Table Tennis Center on Tompkins Avenue, the event raised funds for the Pleasantville Fund for Learning.

The PFFL awards grants to teachers and departments in all three of Pleasantville's public schools each year for items the budget does not cover.
