Where to Celebrate Mother's Day in Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor

Many local restaurants are making special holiday plans to help pamper moms on their day. From elegant prix-fixe, multiple-course meals at Iron Horse Grill ($55), Terra Rustica ($45) and The Briar's Restaurant ($27 to $37) to modestly priced buffet brunches at Bollywood Bistro ($14), Terra Rustica ($17) and the Tuscan Grille ($25 including unlimited mimosas), the choices are plentiful.

Pleasantville Mother’s Day Celebration Guide

. The regular menu will be offered on Mother’s Day. Will be open from noon to 10 p.m. 747-2611.

. Open for buffet brunch at $13.95 from noon to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The regular menu will be served at dinner time including Tandori lobster tail, salmon tikka, and shrimp, lamb or chicken coconut. 747-4599.

Desserts: strawberry-rhubarb shortcake, chocolate Marquise with pistachio-mint ice cream, passion fruit-blackberry tart with honey ice cream and banana split. . The winery is hosting special pairings this weekend in honor of Mother's Day. On Saturday (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), enjoy asparagus and mushroom tartlets topped with goat cheese, paired with a 2010 Tapestry Sauvignon Blanc. There will be assorted chocolates and Sweet Melissa Brachetto, too. On Sunday (12 p.m. to 5 p.m.), baked asparagus involtini with mascarpone cheese paired with the 2010 Tapestry Sauvignon Blanc; as well as fresh strawberries with Fragolino. Briarcliff Manor Mother’s Day Celebration Guide

. Will serve both a Mother’s Day special menu to include lamb osso bucco, and lobster and its regular menu which has filet mignon, rack of lamb, short ribs, shrimp, salmon and sea bass. 762-9200.

. A special Mother's Day menu will include Bronzino, Chilean sea bass and salmon and it is also expected to include additional fresh seafood as determined by fish market availability as specials plus a number of special pasta dishes. 923-3100.
