Black Friday RJCC Shopping Event
Where/When: Rosenthal Jewish Community Center of Westchester on Friday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Why go: Proceeds from this early Black Friday shopping event at the JCC in Pleasantville will benefit the organization's early childhood programs. The sale features items from more than 20 "upscale vendors"—merchandise includes clothing, women's accessories and jewelry, housewares, resort wear and personalized items.

Festive Stroll of Homes
Where/When: Meet at Holbrook Cottage on Friday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. or Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m.

Why go: Holbrook Cottage is commemorating Charles Dickens' 200th birthday with its annual tour of local homes that have been artfully decorated for the holidays. There will be Wassail and champagne while you shop and a personalized ornament. A percentage of the event's proceeds will benefit Ossining Children's Center. There is an optional benefit luncheon at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club on Friday from 12 to 2 p.m.

Friday Night at the Movies
Where/When: Briarcliff Manor Public Library on Friday, Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Why go: Bring the whole family to a big screen presentation of Moonrise Kingdom (PG-13), a new-to-DVD film featuring Bill Murray and Bruce Willis. Light refreshments will be served.

Where/When: Mount Pleasant Public Library on Sunday, Nov, 18 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Why go: M&M Productions are bringing Nora and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss and What I Wore to life through monologues and ensemble pieces.

Trinity Lutheran Christmas Fair
Where/When: Trinity Lutheran Church (292 Elwood Ave. Hawthorne) on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go: Trinity Lutheran Church is hosting its Christmas Fair, which features a selection of new and nearly-new holiday items for everyone on your Christmas list.
