Hudson River Potters Pottery Show and Sale

Where/When: Briarcliff Congregational Church on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: A group of local ceramic artists will be showing and selling some of their original pieces this weekend in the church's parish house this weekend.

American Legion Chili Dinner

Where/When: Holy Innocents Church on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 6:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Why go: Pleasantville Fancher Nicoll American Legion Post 77 is hosting its sixth annual Beer & Wine Chili Fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will support the troops. There will be a 50-50 raffle, prizes, coffee and dessert. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pricing: $20

Harlem Magic Masters at Briarcliff HS

Where/When: Briarcliff High School on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

Why go: Support the Briarcliff Rotary Club's high school scholarships by attending an entertaining basketball game with fun players, routines and local players. Kids can take part in the halftime show with tricks and giveaways. Tickets are available in advance at the library, recreation department and Weldon's Stationery.

Pricing: $12 in advance; $15 at thd door

CSF Gas-a-Thon

Where/When: Pleasantville Shell station (Manville Road) on Friday, Nov, 9 through Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Why go: The Community Scholarship Fund of Pleasantville is hosting its annual gas-a-thon at the Shell station this week. Stop by and fill up between Friday and next Wednesday and a portion of every sale will go to CSF, which provides scholarships to Pleasantville High School seniors each year.

Classic Movie Night

Where/When: Briarcliff Manor Public Library 

Why go: Join local familie to enjoy a screening of the classic E.T., a PG-rated film, the big screen. Bring your own snacks.
