Where/When: on Thursday, Aug. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Why go: Family and friends of graduate with the annual With Demetri's Help concert. There will be multiple performances and a 50/50 raffle drawing. All welcome until 8:45 p.m., at which point the event becomes appropriate for ages 21 and up.
Price: $10 suggested donation ($5 for students)
Where/When: Briarcliff Manor Pool on Friday, Aug. 17 at 4 p.m.
Why go: Take a break from swimming and enjoy a story or two with the 's children's librarian. This is the last Friday for the event!

Music at the
Where/When: Memorial Plaza in Pleasantville on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why go: The weekly Community Markets' farmers' market is in full summer swing with seasonal fare including lamb, duck, tarts, pickles, cow cheese, wine, cider and fresh fruits/vegetables available on Saturday. This weekend, you can also check out Dulcimer player Paul Mueller, who will be performing from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Summer on the Farm Weekend at Stone Barns
Where/When: in Pocantico Hills on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m.
Why go: Explore the farm at the height of the summer bounty. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the Farm Store and head off on your own, or sign up for one of the programs ranging from the A-Bee-C's of Bees to a with “Wildman” Steve Brill. Price: Depends on the program and age; scavenger hunt and tasting table is free. $5, $10, $20 or $25 for other events. There is a $5 parking fee to park at the farm; free parking for members.
Where/When: on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m.
Why go: Did you know that crows are so intelligent that some refer to them as “flying monkeys?” Learn what makes these feathered bird brains tick by making crow enrichment toys at Teatown. You will take your creative inventions to their enclosure and watch how the crows interact with them. Call 914-762-2912 ext. 110 to make a reservation.

Where/When: on Friday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m.
Why go: Ossining's weekly summer concert series continues this week with Powderfinger. In addition to live music, enjoy the park's great views and pick up some fresh food. This event is weather-permitting.

Walk Sleepy Hollow 'Park to Park'
Where/When: The will be open on Sunday, August 19 to walkers, bikers and rollerbladers from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Lighthouse tours from 1 to 3 p.m.
Why go: Until the now-empty GM lot gets developed, this long stretch of vital riverfront property remains largely inaccessible to the public. If you were disappointed by the closed lighthouse last time, there will be a tour this Sunday as planned.
