Why go: The Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual day of sidewalk sales, entertainment for families, food sales and more on Saturday. Check out pony rides, a petting zoo, a bouncy castle, live music, yoga, a juggler, arts and crafts and more.

Why go: The Rotary Club of Pleasantville is hosting its annual pancake breakfast to raise funds for the Pleasantville Community Scholarship Fund.

Briarcliff Nursery School Fall Festival & Open House
Where/When: Briarcliff Nursery School on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pleasantville Lions Club Horseshoe Tournament
Where/When: Roselle Park on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m.
Why go: The Lions Club is gearing up for its annual horseshoe tournament, which is open to two-person teams comprised of anyone 12 and up. There are cash prizes and trophies. There will be grilled food, snacks and drinks available for purchase. Check our photos from last year's tournament here.
