Brett Dennen to Headline 9th Pleasantville Music Festival

The annual affair, slated for July 13, will take over Parkway Field for a day of entertainment across three stages.

Folk/pop signer Brett Dennan will headline the ninth annual Pleasantville Music Festival on Saturday, July 13, organizers announced.

"From the start, we have been blessed to attract top national acts and, in turn, energetic crowds of music lovers from Westchester, New York City, Fairfield, Rockland and beyond,” said Rich Sarfaty, co-executive producer of the Festival, in a statement.

This year's musical talent act will take to two stages at Parkway Field. They include: The Easy All-Stars, Red Wanting Blue, Delta Rae, The Jason Spooner Band, Mary C. & The Stellars, Bobby Long and Mishti, among others.

The Village Stage will feature non-music acts during the 12 to 8:30 p.m. event for all ages.

Other attractions include a variety of vendors, face painting and performances by Aerialist Robin Lynch.

Last year, organizers said 7,000 attendees visited the festival.

Volunteers are still needed for this year's affair—all interested should email pleasantmusic@optonline.net and provide: name, age, email address, phone number, home address and choice of time slots (8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12 to 3 p.m., 3 to 6 p.m. or 6 to 8:40 p.m.). Volunteers must also attend a Tuesday, July 9 evening meeting.

Also back for the second year—PleasantvilleRecycles' "zero waste efforts."

"Our Festival is a community event that is 100 percent organized and produced by local residents and volunteers," said Sol Skolnick, co-executive producer of the Festival.  "Once again a strong group of local restaurants, artisans, charitable organizations and retailers will be on site, including Captain Lawrence Brewery, The Art of Wine and Gail Patrick’s Cafe."

Tickets, good for the entire day, are now available for purchase online at www.pleasantvillemusicfestival.com.  Tickets are also being sold at Pleasantville retailers including The Village Bookstore, The Art of Wine and Cold Stone Creamery. Tickets can also be purchased at Noka Joe’s/Little Joe’s in Katonah, W@tercooler: A CoWorking Space in Tarrytown and at Captain Lawrence Brewery in Elmsford.
