Hollywood Comes to Briarcliff Manor [Updated]

Could the next "Bourne" film have the Taconic State Parkway as its backdrop?

This morning, Briarcliff Manor residents may have woken up to no electricity, downed wires, tree debris in the streets...

And perhaps even a movie crew congregated on Chappaqua Road.

Rumor has it the northbound entrance to the Taconic State Parkway in the village has been shut down for the day while The Bourne Legacy films scenes on the ramp.

Village Manager Philip Zegarelli confirmed the crew was scheduled to film today, but said, "I cannot believe they are keeping to that schedule," given the trying circumstances involving cleanup and the "enormous burden" the village is facing today.

While this has not been confirmed by Patch, LoHud is reporting the film will close several roads in the area today and tomorrow, including Route 117 from 448 to 9.

Briarcliff Manor, Mount Pleasant and New York State Police are redirecting traffic in the area.

According to IMDB, The Bourne Legacy, directed by Tony Gilroy, is due out on Aug. 3, 2012 and stars Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), Edward Norton (Fight Club) and Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener).

Not too long ago, the Sleepy Hollow Country Club for an episode of Pan Am, ABC's new Sunday night drama.
