Pleasantville's local game show contestant will make her television debut on Thursday.
Robyn O'Brien, who grew up in Briarcliff Manor, taped her episode of ABC's Wheel of Fortune in January.
Wheel of Fortune's website is featuring a blog post written by O'Brien this week.
In the post, O'Brien writes, "I have always been a major fan of Wheel of Fortune ever since I was a kid. The puzzles, the prizes, Vanna’s dresses and of course Pat’s rapier wit! And (admittedly) I DVR it so I can watch and play along with my husband Jerry, as we’re never home from work when it airs live."
It was at her husband Jerry's convincing, O'Brien said, that she finally auditioned for the show back in December.
"One it finally settled in that this was ACTUALLY happening, I had work to do! Every spare moment I had I was watching DVR’d episodes of the show, playing the Wii game and of course the iPhone version. I had to be in tip top shape! Then I had to get my hair done and buy a new outfit it’s not every day that you go on national television! A girl’s gotta look her best! And after two weeks of intense excitement and anticipation, it was time to board the plane to LA," she wrote. "Watch me spin on Thursday, March 28th!"
O'Brien's episode of "Wheel of Fortune" airs on Thursday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m.
