Live Animal Presentation
Where/When: Mount Pleasant Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
Why go: Animal Embassy will be putting on an interactive presentation about animals and their adaptations for kids ages five through eight. Attendees will meet animals from all around the globe and learn what makes them each unique. Register in advance at the library.

Ice Skating at Bear Mountain Rink
Where/When: Bear Mountain Rink on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why go: The Briarcliff Manor Department of Recreation is hosting a day of ice skating as part of its series of February vacation outings for fifth through eighth graders. The trip includes transportation, admission and supervision. Call 941-6560 for more information.

Screening of The Innkeepers
Where/When: Jacob Burns Film Center on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 p.m.
Why go: This non-rated horror flick is set in a hotel hosting an array of unique guests. Ti West (The House of the Devil) directs this 2011 film that JBFC is showing as part of its "Fridays After Dark" series.

Winter Farm Tour
Where/When: Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 from 1 to 2 p.m.
Why go: Enjoy a tour of Stone Barns' livestock inside for the winter season, as well as an inside look at the on-site greenhouse and production field.
Pricing: $10 adults, $7 children and youths
