How about '60 Over 60'?

Sick and tired of 40 Under 40 awards?! Time to celebrate 60 Over 60 ... before we're literally sick and tired.

Enough already! Enough of these ridiculous "40 Under 40" thingamajigs every organization with commerce in its name feels obliged to give out these days. It smacks of rank ageism, doncha think? Hello, anybody home? Speak louder, you say? IT'S AGEISM, I TELL YA!

Not that I ever should've been under consideration, but when I was in my 30s, it was "30 Under 30," then in my 40s, it was "40 Under 40," and since then I haven't noticed any "50 Under 50" even or "60 Under 60."

So the only equitable way to resolve this inequity is to reverse the trend -- NO! Check that. Turn it on its cradle-capped head and show them young whippersnappers who's boss! We may be old, but we ain't turned to dust just yet, so watch our dust, and be sure not to choke on it.

So I'm announcing "60 Over 60." If those wet-behind-the-ears pups want to throw down the gauntlet, we're ready to throw up our challenge, as well as whatever didn't agree with us after we raided the fridge at 11:55 p.m.

Nothing personal, Rods, but I knew before I even did it that you in particular wouldn't like it.
By The Way -- You Are Old November 26, 2012 at 03:46 AM
Bruce, You have contributed nothing but mediocrity for many years. You have never been in touch with anyone or anything. Worst of all, you like to hear yourself talk. You're the worst kind of not funny, not funny who thinks he's funny. The Penny Saver and embarrassing showcases like this pathetic transmission, (link below) announces not only that you are old, but that you are a dinosaur. Nice hat, what a joke. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxhxpnsyejE&feature=related

You are a lady of many hats (and pseudo names) yourself, I see, Rods, yet a phalanx of phony names can hardly hide why you're posting, why you're not able to get past our past relationship, and why you're so bumptiously bitter. And you couldn't be more correct: "The older I get, the older I want to get" is just one of many epigrams in my quiver. Dinosaurs are very popular creatures in our culture, so thanks for that endorsement! All seriousness aside, BTW -- YAO (don't you also play hoops?), for somebody who's as worthless as your humble servant, you sure do spend an impressive amount of time obsessing over little "old" me lo these many years. Don't be so hard on yourself and don't get your skirt all caught up in the spokes. You know what they say, doncha? Those who can and do are used to being resented by those who cant [sic] and undo. That makes us a perfect match! (OK, I mean you're the only one who's perfect, don't wanna burst your bubblegum.) But this lovefest between us is boring and irrelevant to everyone else, so you know where to find me to continue our cozy conversation.
