I know it sounds cranky, but we needed the ice Tuesday, By now everything in my fridge has gone bad.

We need electricity not dry ice. Why don't they send these ConEd personnel to connect our power!

Went to one of those sites today. Two trucks, both with ConEd logos were there. Both drivers stated that they worked for ConEd and that the trucks contained dry ice. Were they giving any of that ice away? NO! They stated that they had to wait for representatives from customer outreach and/or community services and that they would distribute the ice. Many people stated that they had arrived three hours ago, that the trucks were there all that time and that the drivers stated early on that representatives were on the way. It is disgraceful that ConEd would have such a delayed, feeble and disorganised response. I also saw two ConEd employees sitting in their truck for several hours at the site of a downed tree that brought down power lines. They stated that they were just to survey the damage and had to wait for other crews to do the repair. Are these the most efficient ways ConEd can come up with to handle an emergency? Our money is being wasted away by inept leadership.

Con Ed is a joke....I think I will take my time in paying them my utility bill.... It is not like Sandy snuck up on us unannounced....why didn't they have area plans ahead of time with extra personnel . Maybe then they could be telling us when to expect power back on. This is a monopoly out of control.
