Local Artists Showcased in Briarcliff Manor

Last night's First Thursday...Night Lights had something for everyone.

Once again, the Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce's First Thursday...Night Lights drew many to the village of Briarcliff Manor.

The evening held many special activities, live music and art exhibits as part of the artist-themed evening.

Among them,  featured a painting demonstration by artist James Grabowski, while Karen Anne Sullivan showcased her wildlife photography at , Michelle Stangarone of L3 Couture offered a 'make your own visor' activity and Yoshimi Arai—owner of Magokoro—showed the many creative ways in which she uses Japanese mulberry paper.

“Magokoro is the Japanese word for love in its purest form,” Arai explained. “By expressing this love in the art of origami, I share with you my heart-felt feelings for the peace, beauty and grace of human beings all over the world”. 

Strolling down the street, passersby were greeted with live music by Miriam and Mike Risko and Phil Dollard, among others.

  offered up peanut butter and jelly crepes made by master crepe maker, Daniel Santini,  had complimentary wine tasting and served up pulled pork sliders with peach barbeque sauce.

The next First Thursday Night Lights will be held on Thursday, September 1 and will have a Hoedown theme.
