Memorial Day: What's Open and Closed in Briarcliff/Pleasantville

Large retailers likely to have some Monday hours, Metro North holiday schedule.

With a four-day weekend underway for Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor public schools, some local businesses and organizations will also be taking time off this weekend.

Metro North Weekend Schedule:

  • On Saturday and Sunday a regular weekend schedule will be in effect.
  • On Memorial Day (Monday, May 28) trains will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Friday on the Hudson Line:

  • The 5:57 p.m. to Croton-Harmon will not operate.
  • The 6:12 p.m. to Poughkeepsie will not operate.
  • The 6:20 p.m. to Croton-Harmon will not operate.
  • The Haverstraw—Ossining Ferry will have an early ferry trip that will meet the 2:54 p.m. train from Grand Central, which arrives Ossining at 3:44 p.m.; 5:57 p.m. and 6:20 PM trains will not operate. Instead a 6 p.m. train from Grand Central, which arrives Ossining at 6:51 p.m., will be met by the ferry.

Friday on the Harlem Line:

  • The 5:25 p.m. to Brewster will not operate.
  • The 5:54 p.m. to Crestwood will not operate.
  • The 6:02 p.m. to Wassaic will not operate.
