Apple Pie Baking Contest a success at the Pleasantville Farmers' Market.

Sarah Rogovin of the Pleasantville Farmers' Market Committee organized and hosted the Second Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest Saturday morning.

With almost 30 participants, a judges panel consisting of a variety of community stakeholders, had a tough job in choosing the top two in each of three categories, based on taste, texture and appearance.

Dawn Bartz, principal of and Proprietor Phil McGrath were among the day's judges.

Locals enjoyed tasting the various pies, while shopping at the market and enjoy live music by Pleasantville band Broverdose.

All of the proceeds from the contest will benefit 's Edible Garden.
