Weekday Market Returns to Phelps

The Phelps Memorial Hospital 'Market at the Park' is now operating out of Rockwood Hall on Thursdays.

"It's a great market," said one enthusiastic shopper who stumbled the Phelps Memorial Hospital market and was filling a bag full of fruit like the apricot-plum hybrid Thursday.

Don't have your reusable bags on you? Not to worry: Phelps supplies free green totes to all shoppers.

There's pizza made to order, pastries from Irvington's Red Barn Bakery, bright green pestos and much more locally grown and prepared goods.

Goshen farmers were the first at Rockwood Hall Thursday making their perfect vegetable towers.

Here are a few textures from the market and a video of Market Manager Rose's concoction of the day. And after you shop the market, you can harvest your own wild raspberries by wandering off the path up the hill.

Happy foraging!

The market will be in full swing every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November. Free parking is available in the Rockwood Hall lot. Click here to read more about the new season.
