Where/When: Briarcliff Manor business district (Pleasantville Road) on Thursday, May 3 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Why go: An evening to "shop, stroll and dine" is back in Briarcliff Manor. Businesses along Pleasantville Road will stay open until 8 p.m. and be offering samples and specials all evening. This week's theme is "Spring Fling."

"Battle Behind the Bottle" Documentary Screening

Where/When: 's Willcox Hall Auditorium on Wednesday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Why go: Students and faculty are premiering a documentary about the story of wine from Portugal to your table in this original documentary. Dessert reception to follow the screening. RSVP by calling 773-3790 or emailing MCAPace@pace.edu.

Where/When: Mount Pleasant Village Hall (1 Town Hall Plz. Valhalla) third floor on Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m.

Why go: The Mount Pleasant Historical Society welcomes Janice Ruotolo to discuss the 101st anniversary of the NYC Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in 1911, the forces that led up to the disaster and how it changed American life.

Japanese Calligraphy and Ikebana Art Exhibit

Where/When: beginning on May 4; reception on Saturdy, May 5 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Why go: Check out calligraphy and Ikebana artwork by Yoshiko Katsumi's Armonk students and more at the library this month. There will be an artists' reception on Saturday afternoon.

Gear Up For Summer

Why go: Enjoy an evening of free camp activities, a prize wheel and more fun for all.
