Kick Off Summer...Safe, Summer Fun In A Feel Good Environment

Do you have a school age child AND are you looking for a fun, safe, and positive summer camp experience for them?

Good news! You can sign up for United Martial Arts Center (UMAC) Summer Camp!

UMAC’S trusted and caring counselors are or were UMAC students and share my passion for living a Black Belt life. What is living a Black Belt life? It is living your life based on the Tenets of Taekwondo: Integrity, Perseverance, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Self-Control. This is the foundation we offer your child through UMAC Summer Camp and After-School Programs.

Summer Camp offers scheduled structure, where each week is the same but different.

  • Mondays are Arts & Crafts
  • Tuesdays are Hiking (lots of great day hikes in the Hudson River Valley)
  • Wednesday is Lake Compounce (camp registration includes a Lake Compounce pass)

  • Thursdays we go to Bear Mountain and splash around Lake Welch
  • Friday is Presentation Day where the students work in teams and put on skits
  • There are fun day-trips to go bowling, see a movie, or visit local attractions, like the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.

In addition to all the fun indoor and outdoor activities, our Taekwondo training focuses on a different Martial Arts technique each week; Kicking Combinations, Self-Defense, Forms, Safety Weapons Training, and Sparring are geared toward each student’s belt level.

Current UMAC students keep up their training all summer long. And many of our White Belts (beginner) are ready to test for their Yellow Belt in the fall.

UMAC Summer and After-School Programs are designed with you, the busy parent, in mind. Especially when it comes to safety, developing positive life skills, and convenience.

One of my student’s father shared his story in the Patch; his son began his UMAC training in Summer Camp. This story is what UMAC is all about...teaching Taekwondo, developing great student leaders and helping each student grow and mature into a “...focused, confident, respectful, doesn’t give up, goal-oriented with a sense of accomplishment, and giving of time and spirit.” type of person. This is my passion.

UMAC provides a fun, safe, and positive experience where your son or daughter develops confidence, respect, and discipline in a “feel good” environment. We look to strengthen the foundation for living a Black Belt Life...for the betterment of the individual and their community.

Please share this with your friends and family who may be looking for a kickin' summer camp experience.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

    Master Chris Berlow, 6th Dan
