Martial Arts training teaches discipline, respect, self-control, focus, and self-confidence. At the heart of learning Taekwondo at UMAC is learning to apply Martial Art Values in every aspect of one’s life; learning to live a Black Belt Life. And students participate in an active and energy-filled training session, adding to their physical activity and wellness.
Students are goal-oriented and motivated in their quest to progress from White Belt to Yellow Belt, all the way up to Black Belt and beyond. Focus and discipline are required to succeed; paying attention to the instructors, practicing, and testing for each belt. And with each belt earned, students build self-confidence in their abilities, become goal-oriented, and motivated to succeed, which carry over to their home and school work.
