Help Toys for Tots fulfill the Christmas dreams of children displaced by Superstorm Sandy

Toys for Tots helps children displaced by Hurricane Sandy.

Dear Caring Friend,

In case you haven’t seen it in the newspaper, on television or online; this past Monday the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation conducted a major movement of toys, games and books to our Toys for Tots units in the areas hardest hit by Superstorm Sandy.  As a result of the storm, there are thousands of additional people in New Jersey and New York who need our help this holiday season.

Fortunately for us, Superstorm Sandy is no match for the generosity of Hasbro, a long time friend and sponsor, who very generously donated over 35,000 toys for this venture.  Tens of thousands of families who didn’t know where their Christmas would come from can now be assured their children will enjoy the magic of this special season.

We are especially thankful to the Blue Angels Flight Team for flying the toys to New Jersey for us.  Toy donor Toys “R” Us and other corporate sponsors like LivingSocial, Lockheed Martin, The Walt Disney Company and Duracell all contributed to make this logistical challenge a great success.

Needless to say, this was a great beginning of support for the unfortunate children in these devastated communities, but there’s a great deal more to be done.  Please consider making a donation to our Hurricane Sandy Campaign.  The sooner we receive your contribution, the sooner we can fulfill the Christmas dreams of many more deserving children.  After all, every child deserves a little Christmas!
