Hanukkah Celebration with Focus on Helping Others [PHOTOS]

Rosenthal JCC of Pleasantville celebrates holiday while helping others.

At the Rosenthal JCC in Pleasantville on Sunday, members celebrated the Hanukkah holiday with a festival that included a music concert, food, a gift-making factory and games. But the celebration also focused on giving back to others in need and who make sacrifices for the country -- revelers had the chance to send cards to soldiers serving abroad and donate food, clothing and other items to another center on Long Island that was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.

The Rosenthal JCC's Hanukkah Happening & Helping was great fun - thanks for jammin' to Calypso Conroy's concert, creating in the Gift Factory, and crafting cards for soldiers. Thanks also for helping the Friedberg JCC resupply its Early Childhood Center so that it can reopen its doors to 500 young children!
