Hazardous Weather Outlook in Effect Today [Updated]

The National Weather Service is predicting some snowfall in Pleasantville and Briarcliff Manor Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has now issued a hazardous weather outlook for the county today.

The latest forecasts suggests snowfall may accumulate between one and three inches today and this evening.

There is an 80 percent chance of precipitation during the day and tonight, "mainly before 9 p.m."

It won't be another nor'easter, but a small amount of snow is likely in the Briarcliff Manor-Pleasantville area Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Beginning overnight after 3 a.m., there is "a slight chance of light snow."

Then, during the day Tuesday, the chance of snow increases to 80 percent.

The National Weather Service says the villages can expect up to one inch of snow to accumulate and temperatures to peak at 35 degrees.

The snow may continue into the evening and night, followed by a slightly warmer and sunnier rest of the work week.
