Update, 3:30 p.m.
New York State Police reported multiple accidents on the Taconic State Parkway today. The road was temporarily closed between Highway 6 in Putnam County and I-84 in Dutchess County while the accidents and lanes were cleared.
From Metro North: Because of the weather conditions, customers are urged to: use caution getting on and off our trains and while waiting on platforms, allow for extra travel time, and listen for announcements while at our stations.

The National Weather Service predicts 2-4 inches of snow Dec. 29 and another 1-2 overnight.
Snowfall could be heavier across the Hudson Valley and into southwestern Connecticut, however.
The NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory through 6 a.m. Dec. 30.
