Christmas through the Centuries

Join the Taghkanic Chorale and soloists under the direction of Steven Fox in a musical time travel spanning 5 centuries, 6 countries and 4 languages.

The concert begins in the 16th century with Palestrina's Alma Redemptoris Mater, Flecha el Viejo's Riu, Riu Chiu, and Josquin Desprez's Ave Maria. It continues with Sweelinck's Angelus ad Pastores, Tchaikovsky's Opus 54- Legend, Ralph Vaughn William's Blessed Son of God and Wassail Song, Benjamin Britten's Hymn to the Virgin and excerpts from his Ceremony of Carols.

The Taghkanic Chorale is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that rehearses tuesday evenings and performs Spring and Winter Holiday Concerts led by Music Director Steven Fox.
