Jazz/Cabaret Concert

Philip Amarante and the Manhattan Jazz will present a Jazz Cabaret concert at the Library.  The program will feature Jazz/Swing Instrumentals combined with Cabaret Vocal Selections.

The Manhattan Jazz will perform songs that endure the passing of time including those of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin.  The program will also include music drawn from the song books of the outstanding Swing Bands of their day: Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and Jimmy Dorsey.

Manhattan Jazz has worked at leading Jazz/Swing clubs such as Birdland, the Supper Club, the Rainbow Room, and the Broadway Theater circuit.  The group has also performed at diplomatic and corporate events, country clubs, and private affairs, both nationally and internationally.
