Girls Inc. Power of the Purse

The fun-filled program features cocktails, dinner, a
designer boutique, a silent auction, and a live auction of one-of-a-kind
handbags, designed to reflect the personalities of the honorees. The
evening’s highlight will be hearing from several members of the Girls Inc.
Westchester Leadership Council. Girls Inc.
Westchester inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Programs
encourage girls to resist stereotyping, to explore, to grow, and to realize
their full potential.

All proceeds from the signature event support afterschool
programs for girls throughout the County.

Among this year’s Purse-O-Nality role models are: Renee Brown,
President and CEO of CW Brown Inc.; Gigi Fernandez, Olympic Gold medalist and
member of the Tennis Hall of Fame; Stacy Hobson, PhD, “Research Scientist”
at  the IBM  Thomas J. Watson Research Center; and Judith Huntington,

– actor Michael Boatman (Spin City, ARLISS, and China Beach) who
is currently appearing in the FX comedy series, Anger Management, and
former MLB executive, Jimmie Lee Solomon will also be applauded for their
commitment to the advancement and well-being of girls. Our distinguished
designers are: April Bukofser & April Marin, Mihe Coe, Elizabeth Harlow,
