the Taghkanic Chorale for a Magical Holiday Concert December 7 and 8

Join the Hudson Valley’s Taghkanic
Chorale, with acclaimed musical director Steven Fox and professional soloists,
for a memorable evening of holiday music scheduled for Dec. 7 in Valhalla and
Dec. 8 in Ossining.



The concert, titled “Myth,
Mystery and Miracle” will feature some of the most beautiful classical holiday
music ever written through the centuries, along with some distinctly American
spirituals.  Popular local pianist Laura
Ravotti will accompany.

The concert will be performed Saturday Dec 7th at 8:00 pm at Valhalla
United Methodist Church, 200 Columbus Ave, Valhalla, and on Sunday Dec 8 at 4
pm at Trinity Church Ossining, 7 South Highland Ave (Rt. 9).  Audience members are invited to join Chorale
members, Mr. Fox and soloists for a reception after the concert.



The program will include Palestrina’s O’Magnum Mysterium; Bach’s Lo
Bet Den Herrn;
Howells’ A Spotless
Rose;
Part’s Bogoroditse Djevo; and
Verdi’s Ave Maria.  Traditional spirituals will include Mary Had A Baby and Hail, Mary.



Admission is $25 for adults, $22 for seniors and students, $12 for

The Taghkanic Chorale is a non-profit,
non-sectarian organization that rehearses Tuesday evenings and performs spring
and winter holiday concerts.  Singers and
