Last Chance: Pleasantville Student Chess Tournament; Briarcliff Rummage Sale

WHAT: Pleasantville's Jack Stockel is challenging up to 20 students from grades one through 12 to a chess tournament against him on Saturday at 1 p.m. The event will benefit the Pleasantville Community Scholarship Fund and will be held at Masonic Temple at 287 Manville Rd. Donations will be matched by the Pleasantville Masonic Lodge up to $500,

WHAT: The Briarcliff Congregational Church is hosting its annual massive rummage sale for the 100th year on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you're looking to get rid of items from your spring cleaning, the church is accepting everything except computers, old CRT TVs and encyclopedias.
