Local GoFundMe Campaign: Help Rebuild Sandy-Stricken Fire Island

A Pleasantville resident is hoping to restore the magic at Fire Island in Ocean Bay Park.

Kat Nemec wants to help bring back the town, dunes and infrastructures still limping from Hurricane Sandy’s wratch. Here is part of her GoFundMe post

Have you been to Fire Island? Did you enjoy yourself? Do you just like the idea of a place where you get around by foot or bike, your "car" is a little red wagon, formal attire is a shirt over your swim suit, and where the deer eat bagels from your hands?
