Many local entities will be taking advantage of the July 4 holiday for a long weekend this week.
In addition to local Post Offices, banks and libraries shutting down Friday and Saturday, here are a few things to keep in mind locally:
Briarcliff Manor
Village Hall will be closed both Thursday and Friday.
The Department of Public Works will be closed Thursday.
Thursday's garbage pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday and Friday pick-up will carry on as usual.
Pleasantville
Village Hall will be closed on Thursday.
There will be no paper, cardboard and yard waste collection on Thursday.
Regular recycling pickup will go on as scheduled on Friday.
